The Fire Salamander is a fairly common enemy in the Scrapyards. They spawn in larger numbers on grassy areas.
It is unique in that it can harness the power of fire, spraying a wave of heat towards the player. Does the standard 1 damage per frame of registered fire, as well as 1 damage on touch.
Trivia[]
- Before Update #83, the flames from a fire salamander would linger for a second against any wall they came into contact with.
- Despite what their flaming appearance and their ability to harness fire may suggest, the fire salamander is not immune to the burn effect from weapons like the Flamethrower or Flame Shotgun.
- The fire salamander also greatly resembles the axolotl.
